Terence is an Assistant Professor and principal investigator of the Resistome Lab at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He completed his Ph.D. at the University of California-Berkeley and his post-doctoral training at Washington University in St. Louis. He recently moved his group from Florida State University to its current home.
Ezabelle was the first laboratory manager in the Crofts Microbiology Lab at Florida State. She completed her Bachelors in Neuroscience at FSU before joining the Crofts lab and is currently pursuing a career in medicine. She likes to spend her free time reading, watching anime, and doing pottery.
Hayden joined the Crofts Microbiology Lab as a lab manager after completing his B.S. in Biochemistry at Florida State University. He is currently pursuing a career in forensics. In his free time, he likes playing pickleball, watching movies, and playing video games.
Elizabeth was a technician in the Crofts lab. She completed her B.S. in Biochemistry at Florida State University and is currently attending vetrinary school at the University of Florida.
Sophia is a Biochemistry major undergraduate researcher in the Crofts lab. She is searching for new antibiotic resistance genes in the soil microbiome, specifically against pleuromutilin antibiotics. Sophia is pre-Med and hopes to one day become a doctor.
Maryanne is an undergraduate researcher in the Crofts lab majoring in Biomathematics. She also enjoys baking, playing board games, and watching Florida State football. After getting her undergraduate degree, she hopes to attend medical school to later become a doctor.
Celine is an undergraduate student in the Crofts Lab majoring in Cell/Molecular Neuroscience. In her free time, she likes sewing, singing opera, and running. She is on a pre-medical track and aspires to one day become a doctor.
